I saw him in the gym like every day, I saw him on the ab machine…

It was one of these weight machines that you do ab lifts on…

He was working the abs with the weights and if he wasn’t doing that machine, he was doing his back extensions…

Which is basically the same exercise but in the opposite direction, working his back muscles…

I asked him, what are you doing?

Why are you working your ab muscles every single day?

He said because he has to get his stomach fat down, because all his fat is stored in his stomach and he didn’t care about the rest of his body…

Hearing that at the time reminded me what I had thought a long time ago before I really understood weight loss…

I remember thinking the same thing, like if you want lose more stomach fat just do more sit ups and you get rid of your stomach…

I mean, it makes sense…

Let me do sit ups and then my stomach will look better…

I am targeting my stomach and nowadays I see a lot of people talking all about these foods…

Eat this fruit that was grown in the rainforest of Africa and it’ll just melt away the stomach fat because you ate it…

It turns it into liquid that just melts off your body…

There is no fruit that is turning your fat into liquid and melting it off…

So you are sitting at the gas station and pumping in the gas and then it finally clicks off…

The tank is full…

But let’s say that for some weird reason you want to put more gas into the tank…

You want to make it last longer and not come to the gas station as much…

Also, there is a discount today…

The gas is on sale for 23 cents off the gallon…

I am getting it…

So I go over this gas tank, I grab a hold of the handle and I squeeze it…

I don’t give a shit that it clicked and I just click it…

I don’t let it click off this time, I am holding it and all off a sudden gas sprays all over the car…

It is spraying all over my face…

I’ve got gas on my clothes and I am covered in gas…

Gas is spraying like a firehose all over the place…

That is basically what your body does…

To make it really simple, your body measures its fuel tank by calories…

Let’s say the 2,000 calories fills you up for the day and then you need another 2,000 calories tomorrow to maintain your body weight…

So if you eat more then the 2,000 calories that day than you were supposed to…

I am making this really simple…

Some people might be thinking, what if I work out every day?

I don’t care about that right now for this simple explanation…

This explanation is 2,000 calories and if you go over that, it is the same thing when you spray that gas all over the car…
