That could be a lot of things, it’s hard to tell, but I’m going to tell you one specific thing that I noticed today when I was in my house and actually, I’ve noticed it almost every day…

Switch Turns on in Your Head and You Feel So Hungry

It tends to happen between the meals…

I’ll eat lunch, I’m fine, but a couple hours after lunch all off the sudden I was sitting there in front of my computer and I was just working…

This happened during the weekend, so it was Sunday…

 I was sitting in front of my computer and I was working…

All off the sudden you know it’s been a while since you ate but it’s not like you want to go get bunch of food yet…

But all off a sudden it’s just like a switch that clicks…

You are sitting there and working and all off a sudden you feel so hungry…

You ever felt that?

When just out of nowhere it just hits you right in the stomach…

You think it would like build up…

But from my experience it doesn’t really build up…

It’s just that I’m fine and then suddenly I’m hungry…

It’s time to eat….

I’m ready to eat…

I’m looking and at this point it’s like your brain switches to another mode…

First thing that comes to mind is that I’ll ask my wife what is for dinner…

Oh, dinner is not going to be ready in the next couple of hours?

Oh shit!

I am not waiting for a couple of hours, I am hungry…

At this point, what am I going to do?

I am hungry…

Yeah, it is easy to say that I’ll just deal with hunger pains…

Just sit there and wait for it to pass…

But most of the time that is not going to happen…

I get up and start going through my cupboards like, what have I got…

Also checking the fridge…

I start looking for what is available right now, what is ready made that I can eat right now…

That happened to me!

While Trying to Lose Weight the Cravings Are Even Worse

That is kind of how it happens, I think most of the time…

Specially if I’m at deficit of calories and I’m on a weight loss and I’m trying to lose weight…

These hunger pains will be even stronger, the cravings will be even stronger…

I remember when I was trying to lose weight…

It was the same thing except that it was very intense…

The cravings and the need to eat something right now…

You don’t want to wait, not even 10 or 20 minutes…

You just need it right now…

One of the things I remember, was back before I started knowing all the things I know now, I’d go through this and the cravings would hit and I do the same thing…

I’d open up the cupboards and I’m looking through the cupboards, trying to find some food to eat…

All the options available to me were just anything I could find at the store…

Anything at all…

I bought bunch of snacks…

Have you ever gone shopping when you were hungry?

All off the sudden you spent $300 bucks and you are shocked…

What just happened?

I came here for milk…

How did I end up with $300 dollars’ worth of food and it’s all junk food?

Ice cream, chips, pizzas, cookies, whatever…

You just ended up with a bunch of shit…

Now that is sitting in your house, because you had a food craving at the time when you were shopping and you were hungry…

Same thing when you’re in the house and you’re hungry and you’re looking for something that’s going to taste good, whatever it is…

Once our brain switches into this mode of being hungry, we no longer think the same way…

We don’t think about planning a meal or making a good meal, no…

We don’t think like that anymore…

It doesn’t happen…

We are in the mode of “where is the food, I need food now, what is available”…

That’s what we end up doing…

So, your house is loaded up with all this junk food and things…

At a vulnerable time when I’m very, very hungry and I’m not willing to wait…

I want to eat what’s available and what’s available is all the shit that I spent $300 bucks on the grocery store staring me in the face…

I’m thinking “that looks good, look at that chocolate bar, it’s in the fridge too, it’s cold…

It’s dark chocolate, that’s going to taste good”…

“Oh, look at that, I’ve got some chocolate covered raisins, they are in the fridge too, they are cold too”…

At that point you know what’s going to happen…

You already know!

If you’re on a weight loss plan and you’re trying to lose weight, that’s the worst situation that you could be in at that point in time…

When you are trying to find something to eat and nothing but shit is staring you back at the face…

What do you do?

One Bad Day Destroys All Your Weight Loss Efforts

What can you do at that point?

So many times I hear people talking about this type of things when the week went by and they had a bad day, because let’s face it, that’s a bad day, right…

What does a bad day mean?

It means you got hungry and you went to the kitchen and you ate what was there…

That’s what a bad day means…

Once that junk food hits your mouth you can’t stop…

That’s a bad day!

Let me tell you something about a bad day…

It only takes one bad day to screw up an entire week…

I’m serious, literally…

It can literally mess up the weight loss efforts that you’ve done all week…

That means you cannot afford a bad day when you’re trying to lose weight…

Then you’re going to be mad, because you didn’t lose weight that week and it was all for nothing…

Don’t be the one, that is coming to me and be like “oh, I had a bad day, what should I do? Please make me feel better about myself, because I feel horrible. I’m so depressed”…

I understand, why you are depressed…

That’s depressing…

Anytime I spend a week of hard work on something and I do everything right, and then one moment when I stumble and fall and hit my head, everything that I worked for that entire week was now for nothing…

Holy crap!

That’s very serious…

How can an entire week’s efforts just go to waste from one bad moment…

If there was only a way to control ourselves in those situations when we are in the vulnerable state…

When we go to the kitchen and we find stuff that tastes good and we need to eat them…

What if it there were only things that were NOT going to cause us to be fat and NOT cause us to be overweight…

And we are NOT going to lose our whole week’s efforts…

And we could just eat those things and feel good…

Imagine if I was able to eat the things when I was in the kitchen at that vulnerable state, which we all will be at some point, and I’m able to just eat it…

All of it…

Doesn’t matter! Open the fridge and cupboards with a smile …

That would be cool!

And then still lose weight at the end of the week and not come crying to me, because you had a bad day…

I had a bad day too…

But guess what? I lost weight and it was good…

Wouldn’t that be cool if we could do THAT?

That to me would be awesome…
